well by sold I mean it sounds very energetic and well played to me. Well put it this way - I have no interest of adding any post Jerry lineups to my CD collection for future listening but listening to this is more enjoyable than actually being at the one " Dead" show I saw at the Gorge in 2003. It was a complete disappointment to me. So if I'm digging this listening to the recording more than the show I was actually at, then it HAS to be better in person no?

I was one of the bigger critics of this tour/ensemble. While I won't grab any of the shows thus far for future listening, I have been very impressed by Warren and Jeff. In fact, at this point, the others shouldn't sing and let Warren do so. I was particularly scared of tunes like Sugaree and He's Gone being horrible, and while they don't measure up to what came before, for the here and now they are pretty damn good and I'm catching some of the magic through PC speakers at work. I wouldn't book a flight or a hotel room, but I'd go see if no big hassle to go. In other words, if coming to your town and you can score a ticket, it's beat a hell of a lot other nights out on the town.

EXACTLY what I meant my friend. I'd go so far as to extend a trip by a day or two if I happened to be going there, eg. I was flying to the Bay Area in Sept. 2005 for a training seminar and went a day early and caught that Comes A Time show and was real glad I did because I had a great time. But no I wouldn't put great expense just to go but I'd definitely go if it was nearby.
